Mount Fuji has no snow for the first time in 130 years
Mount Fuji, a 12,000-foot peak located on the Japanese island of Honshu, is still lacking any measurable snow, extending a record for no snow in October. This is the longest the peak has ever gone in October without snow settling in, breaking a 130-year record.

Drug Trafficking in Tajikistan
For many years, Tajikistan has been gravely affected by drug trafficking. At least 15-20 tons of opium and between 75 and 80 metric tons of heroin are smuggled into the country each year from Afghanistan either for local consumption or for transfer to Russia and Europe. Despite an official Tajik government policy to fight illicit drug trafficking in cooperation with foreign governments and international organizations, trafficking continues to increase.
Singapore blocked Russian and Chinese disinformation sites
Ten fake websites have been blocked by the Singapore authorities over concerns that they could potentially be used to lay the groundwork for disinformation campaigns. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) said the websites masquerade as Singapore websites by spoofing or using terms associated with Singapore in their domain names and incorporating familiar local features and visuals.
Indonesia leader sworn in with largest cabinet in decades
Former military general Prabowo Subianto has been sworn in as Indonesia’s president, as he announced the country’s largest cabinet since the 1960s. The 73-year-old was inagurated on Sunday as the country’s eighth president.
