Dozens of people were injured in a crash involving a Chicago transit train Thursday morning. A Chicago Transit Authority train collided with a snow-fire plow around 10:35 a.m local time.

Boat with refugees and migrants sinks off Greece
At least 78 people have died and more than 100 were rescued after a fishing boat carrying refugees and migrants capsized and sank off the southern coast of Greece. The Greek coastguard said on Wednesday the vessel sank in international waters, 47 nautical miles southwest southwest of Pylos, off the Peloponnese coast. About 100 people had been rescued.

Puerto Rico holds historic general election
Puerto Rico is holding elections that will be historic regardless of which of the top two gubernatorial candidates wins. Jessika Padilla, the commission’s alternate president, said in a press conference that some 40% of those votes had been counted as of Monday.
