A Baroque landscape paintings lost during World War II were returned to Germany on Thursday, October 20 2023. The artwork by 18th century Austrian artist Johann Franz Nepomuk Lauterer was hand over to a German museum.

421 violators were detained during the riots in France
More than 400 people were detained in France during the riots that arose due to the massacre of a French policeman over a 17 year old teenager. The newspaper Figaro writes about this, citing sources in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the publication, there is an unstable calm in France. Malawi has declared a state disaster of Cyclone Freddy
At least 99 people were confirmed dead on Monday after Cyclone Freddy slammed into southern Malawi. The country’s Commissioner for Disaster Management Affairs, Charles Kalemba said most of the deaths happened in Blantyre, Malawi’s commercial capital. Malawi’s government has declared a state of disaster in the southern region of the country. A Government press release said the country’s President, Lazarus Chakwera, has noted with grave concern the devastation that Cyclone Freddy is currently bringing to most districts in Malawi’s Southern region.
