Dubai has started work on a $35bn airport terminal that is set to have the world’s largest capacity upon completion. Dubai’s Prime Minister and Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said that the new terminal would be five times the size of the current Dubai International Airport and handle up to 260 million passengers annually.

Hundreds inmates escape after rain damages Nigerian prison
More than 100 prisoners have escaped from a medium security prison in Nigeria after heavy rainfall destroyed part of the facility. Parts of the prison facility, surrounding buildings and perimeter fence were destroyed by the rain because much facility was old, weak and built during the colonial era. The public is further enjoined to look out for the fleeing inmates and report any suspicious movement to the nearest security agency.

A deadly shooting erupted at a Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in in Hamburg on Thursday evening At least six people are dead and seven people injured. Hamburg police said in a statement that the incident in the northern German city occurred around 9 p.m. local time and there are one or more unknown assailants.
