Tigst Assefa broke the women’s world record by more than two minutes Sunday at the Berlin Marathon, as Eliud Kipchoge won the men’s race for the fifth time but couldn’t break his own record. Ethiopian runner Assefa, the winner in Berlin a year ago, ran the race in 2 hours, 11 minutes, 53 seconds to break the previous women’s record of 2:14:04 set by Kenya’s Brigid Kosgei at the Chicago Marathon in 2019.

UNESCO supports the development of ICT competency standards for teachers in Tajikistan
48 participants took part in the first national workshop on Information and Communications Technology (ICT) competency standards development- organized as part of a UNESCO project funded by the European Union from 4 to 7 July 2023. The national workshop aimed at developing national standards for ICT competencies of teachers, implement policy in the field of digitalization of the education sector and introduce the use of ICT in educational processes.
