Russia has launched a deadly missile attack on the city of Kramatorsk as Ukrainian and Russian forces remained locked in a grinding battle for the control of Bakhmut farther east in the Donetsk region. A Russian missile hit an apartment building in Kramatorsk, killing one civilian and wounding three others.

The Ukrainian military said on March 3, Intense fighting was under way in Bakhmut as Kyiv’s forces repelled multiple waves of Russian attacks in the disputed eastern region of Donetsk. The General Staff of the Ukrainian military said besides Bakhmut, which has been the epicenter of fighting in the east for months, the Ukrainian military fought off at least 85 attacks by Russian forces in the direction of the cities of Lyman, Avdiyivka, and Shakhtarsk in the Donetsk region and in Kupyansk in the northeastern Kharkiv region

Titanic passenger’s gold watch auctioned for record price
A gold watch worn by John Jacob Astor IV, a member of the wealthy Astor family and the richest man aboard the Titanic, sold for a record-breaking £1.175 million or $1.485 million at auction on Saturday, April 27th 2024. The timepiece sold for ten times its expected auction price of between £100,000 and £150,000.
