Human-induced climate change made recent extreme heat in the US south-west, Mexico and Central America around 35 times more likely. The World Weather Attribution (WWA) group studied excess heat between May and early June, when the US heatwave was concentrated in south-west states including California, Nevada and Arizona.

Poland send at least four fighter jets to Ukraine in the coming days
Poland is to send Ukraine four MiG-29 fighter jets in the coming days. Polish President Andrzej Duda said literally within the next few days, Poland will hand over four aircraft to Ukraine in full working order while the rest are being prepared, serviced.
