Nearly 200 people have been arrested for alleged poor building construction following the catastrophic earthquake that struck Turkey earlier this month. The ministry said that 626 people were “suspects” after buildings fully collapsed or were seriously damaged in the wake of the earthquakes. Some of the suspects died in the quake while police are still hunting for others.

A US fighter jet shot down the fourth unidentified object
President Joe Biden ordered another object – the fourth in total this month – to be downed. It could have interfered with commercial air traffic as it was travelling at 20,000ft. A military commander said it could be a gaseous type of balloon or some type of a propulsion system. The latest object – shot down over Lake Huron in Michigan near the Canadian border – has been described by defence officials as an unmanned octagonal structure with strings attached to it.
