After the death of Nahel in Nanterre on Tuesday, June 27, rioters have been burning the country for a few nights. Revolted after the death of the 17 year old during a traffic stop, they burned cars, schools, police stations and looted shops and boutiques. Since the beginning of the week, the police have made more than 2,000 arrests. Among those arrested are very young minors. According to a note from the territorial intelligence, the median age of the rioters is 17.

According to state broadcaster TRT Haber, emergency workers saved a 35-year-old woman who was believed to have been buried for around 205 hours in the same region.

The death toll from collided trains in Greece is rising
The death toll from the head-on collision of two trains in central Greece is likely to rise with officials acknowledging that scores of people have yet to be accounted for nearly 24 hours after it left at least 43 dead and many more injured. Larissa’s chief coroner, Roubini Leondari, said 43 bodies had been brought to her for examination and would require DNA identification.
